Na dem found Ain Shams University insyd July 1950, de third-oldest non-sectarian native public Egyptian varsity (ancient Islamic varsities such as Al-Azhar den private institutions such as de American University in Cairo be older), under de name of Ibrahim Pasha's University. Na ein site be former royal palace, dem dey bell de Zafarana Palace. De two earlier varsities of dis kind be Cairo University (Fuad I university formerly) den Alexandria University (Farouk I university formerly).
